Art Shows

Every summer The Libby invites artists to exhibit their works, showcasing painters and photographers who specialize in nature, from landscapes to plants and animals. The pieces displayed in the museum are available for purchase.

Lauren Bailey

June to July

My name is Lauren Bailey.

I am a self taught artist. Nature has been my biggest inspiration and while I do an array of art in many creative avenues, my main focus and passion lies within acrylic and oil landscape paintings. When I begin a new piece, I have a general idea of what colors to use and a basic shape in my minds eye, and I then paint from the heart.

Painting has become a form of my own meditation, a chance for reflection and self healing. When I am painting, I am able I let my mind wander, and quiet, giving me a feeling of peace.

Robert De Mario

August to Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Robert de Mario studied to be an illustrator and received his BFA at the College of New Rochelle, NY in 1977. He worked in the commercial advertising field for many years where his designs were placed on greeting cards, mugs, and all forms of marketing products. Bob has sold and exhibited his 3D artwork and collage art in South Hampton, Long Island NY, Rockport MA, Full Circle Gallery and ArtWorks in Wolfeboro, NH.

The artist currently specializes in cut-paper collage. He is typically commissioned to create renderings of a location for a client using his technique. After taking several photos, he makes color copies of the image and cuts them to fit a particular vantage point. He may add paint or pencil and small details as needed to complete the desired final outcome of the rendering.

To purchase his 3D sculptures or custom portrait of your home or office, contact him for an appointment at (603) 569-9925 and email graphicsdem@metrocast.net.
